2016 5 Rings Award Winners Announced by IntelliCentrics

Healthcare's most vigilant hospitals are presented as the winners of the annual award.

With the announcement of the 2016 winners of the 5 Rings Award, IntelliCentrics, Inc. shines a spotlight on hospitals that have created a culture of vigilance to provide a safe and SEC³URE healthcare experience for patients. Winning hospitals were selected from the more than 10,000 healthcare facilities that use IntelliCentrics’ managed services as part of their ongoing security and compliance efforts.

The four winning facilities:

  • Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - Chicago, Illinois            
            
  • Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital - St. Peters, Missouri
     
  • Methodist Richardson Medical Center - Richardson, Texas
     
  • St. Joseph Mercy Oakland - Pontiac, Michigan

Hospitals were ranked and scored based on the volume of visitors, active management of security requirements with a low tolerance for non-compliant visitors, continuous improvement, regular communications with the occupational visitor (vendor representative) population and staff on expectations, and overall reputation.

The 2016 winners join an elite group of hospitals previously recognized with 5 Rings Awards: LDS Hospital (operated by Intermountain Healthcare), Boston Medical Center, The Nebraska Medical Center, Ellis Hospital (operated by Ellis Medicine), University of Cincinnati Medical Center (operated by UC Health), Broward Health Medical Center, John Peter Smith Hospital, Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, Pali Momi Medical Center, and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor.
